✶ Antithesis: "Platforms don't sense, they just execute."
Today, the drivers of exchange are not in gestures or agreements, but in systems that maximize behaviors without paying attention to their consequences. They reward speed, discard pause. They value the visible, punish nuance. The algorithm proposes, decides, suggests, deletes, but never asks: who did it leave out of the game? What is lost when we turn the human into data and experience into repeated patterns?
📘 Context of this antithesis.
Smith never imagined algorithms. But he did fear a marketplace that forgot the voiceless. Today, many human exchanges are mediated by automated platforms, and value is no longer measured in quality or intent, but in efficiency and visibility. This technical displacement relegates those who do not fit the expected patterns.
The antithesis does not attack the technology, but the absence of consciousness in its design. What is left of commerce when the human face behind the deal disappears?
